At Moreton Bay Lions, our vision is clear: to be the club of choice for players and supporters of Australian Football in the Moreton Bay region. Nestled within one of Australia’s premier community sporting facilities—praised by former AFL Chairman Mike Fitzpatrick as “the best community sporting facilities in Australia”—we offer an unparalleled environment for football enthusiasts.
Our state-of-the-art precinct features three full-size ovals, allowing us to host a wide range of events, including school competitions, youth tournaments, and representative carnivals. We are proud to have hosted AFL Preseason matches and AFLW Competition matches, bringing top-tier football action directly to our community.

We are deeply committed to the development of players at all levels. Throughout the year, we conduct club training programs, school fixtures, representative team training, regional and state carnivals for youth boys and girls, development programs, football seminars, and various courses for coaches, trainers, and umpires. Our bustling schedule not only nurtures local talent but also brings visitors from greater Brisbane, the Sunshine and Gold Coasts, rural Queensland, interstate, and even overseas—providing excellent exposure for local businesses.
Building on our Senior team’s premiership success in 2020, we are striving for continued excellence. Our goal is to field Junior, Youth, and Senior football teams at the highest levels possible within our capabilities. We are dedicated to developing junior players from our surrounding districts into Senior Moreton Bay footballers, all while inspiring them to reach even greater heights in their football careers.

OUR VISION

OUR FACILITIES
Former AFL Chairman Mike Fitzpatrick declared our purpose-built Australian Football precinct as “the best community sporting facilities in Australia”. Our three full size ovals allow us to host school, youth and representative carnivals.
We have played host to AFL Preseason matches and AFLW Competition matches.
OUR GOAL
Ultimately, we are striving for continued success after a premiership for our Senior team in 2020. To achieve this, our goal is to field Junior, Youth and Senior football teams at the highest levels possible within our financial and competitive capabilities.
We want to develop junior players from our surrounding districts into Senior Moreton Bay footballers, while also encouraging them to aspire to play at even higher levels.
OUR ACTIVITIES
During January through March, we host Brisbane Lions training sessions and intra-club practice matches.
From March through to September, we have football activities at our facility almost seven days a week. Games are played most Saturdays and Sundays, as well as many Friday and Saturday evenings.
On weekdays throughout the year, we conduct club training programs, school fixtures, representative teams training, regional and state carnivals for youth boys and girls, development programs, football seminars and various courses for coaches, trainers and umpires.
Packing so much football into one season at our facility provides great exposure for businesses, not just to locals, but to people from across the greater Brisbane area, Sunshine and Gold Coasts, rural Queensland, interstate and even overseas.
